FACT (French-American Association for Cinema and Theatre) was founded in 1989 by its Artistic Director, Sarah Eigerman. It comprises a professional training center for actors and directors (The Cours Franco-Américain), with an international student body and bilingual teaching, and an acting company (The Compagnie Paris New York) which has presented new and contemporary plays in Paris and regionally in France.
Now in its eighteenth year, FACT continues its commitment to the artistic mission which inspired its creation : to pursue excellence in performance arts training and practice with the ultimate goal of fostering cultural exchange on a human level and encouraging a sense of community among artists of diverse ethnicities and cultural traditions.

Fondée en 1989 par Sarah Eigerman, l'association FACT a réalisé de nombreuses productions avec la Compagnie Paris New York et le Cours Franco-Américain, tout en restant fidèle au rêve qui a inspiré sa création : explorer l'échange culturel à niveau humain, en établissant, sous un toit et sur deux continents, un entraînement professionnel bilingue et des possibilités de travailler en français et en anglais pour des artistes nourris de traditions diverses.
